Abstract This Decree of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 14 articles, establishes categories of natural values, way of defining the natural values ??by type, protection and development policies and other rules of the protection of natural values. This Decree does not apply to minerals or fossils which are the natural treasure. Types of natural values ??are determined by the properties of natural values, taking into account the particular characteristics of natural phenomena and natural forms. The types of natural values are: surface geomorphological natural value, underground morphological natural value, geological natural value, hydrological nature value, natural botanical value, zoological natural value, natural ecosystem value, tree as a natural value, designed nature and landscape features.
