Abstract This Decree concerns the conditions under which animals may be bred and used for experimentation purposes. These conditions, which aim at ensuring welfare of animals, include transport requirements, quarantine measures and marking. The Decree is composed of the following Sections: (1) Conditions for breeding and using animals for experimentation purposes; (2) Marking of animals and inspection; (3) Qualifications required and related examinations; (4) Transitional, repealing and final provisions.
