This Decree enters into force on 1 February 2012.
Abstract

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of 13 articles and seven Annexes, lays down details on identification and registration of sheep and goats. The initial marking of sheep and goats must be performed within 24 hours after the birth of animals. Each specimen must be marked with: (a) two plastic ear marks with a unique number; (b) one plastic each mark and electronic identifier; (c) one plastic ear mark for sheep or goats up to 12 months old; (d) other marking for sheep or goats which can not be marked with plastic earmark for health reasons.
