Abstract This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of 13 articles and eight Annexes, lays down details on identification and registration of bovine animals. Owners of bovine animals must comply with the marking requirements hereby established. The initial marking is a temporary identification immediately after birth of a bovine animal by which it can reliably determine its identity and its mother. Permanent marks must be applied on specimens within 72 hours from the date of birth and before the first movement of the animal.
