This Decree entered into force on 29 November 2003.
Abstract

This Decree of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of seven articles and two Annexes, establishes habitat types that are the priority, regardless of other habitat types are present throughout the Republic of Slovenia, maintained in favorable conditions, and provides guidelines for their conservation. For the purposes of these provisions habitat type means biotope or biological characteristic and spatially ecosystem unit, which is maintained in favorable conditions and contributes to the conservation of ecosystems. Before deciding on spatial arrangements and solutions relating to the areas affected by the proposed changes in land use and allocation of activities in space, it is necessary to determine the presence of habitat types in these areas and their conservation status.
