Abstract This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of nine articles and four Annexes, lays down requirements for the production of fruit juices and certain similar products intended for human consumption specified in art. 3 point 8 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety. These requirements include minimum amount of juice in the final product specified for individual types of fruit nectars, procedure of extraction and processing of fruit juice, and labeling of fruit juice and nectar.
