The Decree enters into force on 1 January 2001.
Abstract

This Decree, which is composed of seven articles, was adopted by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture. The Decree sets out rules and conditions concerning the treatment of genetically modified organisms. Such conditions include (i) requirements to be met by technicians dealing with genetically modified organisms, (ii) application for registration in the list of genetically modified organisms, (iii) content of emergency plans, and (iv) provisions on keeping information on genetically modified organisms and products.
