This Decree entered into force on 24 October 2009.
Abstract

This Decree of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 17 articles, lays down provisions governing granting concessions to the public advisory services in beekeeping. This Decree establishes the subject of concession, conditions for the public advisory services, criteria for selection of the concessionaire, duration of the concession, method of selection of the concessionaire, contents of the concession agreement, financial provisions, the manner of reporting and control systems. The subject of the public advisory service covers advices on the following activities: (1) technology, economics and ensuring food safety; (2) draw up development plans for beekeeping; (3) implementation of the common agricultural policy in the field of beekeeping; (4) organization and operation of the organizations; (5) legislation and implementation of the rules governing beekeeping; (6) preparation of development programs for apiculture; (7) raising awareness of youth and the general public about the importance of beekeeping.
