This Regulation, consisting of 90 articles divided into 18 Chapters and 16 Annexes, lays down rules for the control of foot-and-mouth disease in livestock, the prevention and control of foot-and-mouth disease, to be applied to animals of domestic species or susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease in Hungary. The official veterinarian must be informed of the disease or suspicion thereof. Animals that are infected or suspected of being infected must be kept away from places where susceptible animals would be at risk of infection or contamination with the virus. The animal and wild ruminant animal, the pig, the wild boar, the camel, and the rodent and rodent animal whose susceptibility to this disease shall be considered as susceptible animal species in the foot-and-mouth disease. An animal susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease with a suspicion of foot-and-mouth disease based on clinical signs or post-mortem lesions or laboratory tests shall be considered suspected of being infected. An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease may be detected if the disease has been confirmed in a holding of susceptible animals as set out in Annex 1. Susceptible animals which, on the basis of epidemiological data, may have been directly or indirectly exposed to the foot-and-mouth disease virus shall be considered suspected of being infected with the virus
