Abstract

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry contains provision concerning the approval in the list of plant varieties of original species of cereals, seed potatoes, oil seeds, beet seed and vegetables that can adapt to local and regional conditions and that are threatened by genetic erosion. The Decree also contains rules for the production of such seeds in their natural environment and for the enhancement of such production. Approval shall be obtained from the Plant Varieties Board and the decision of the Board shall be registered in accordance with Decree No. 499 of 2007. The Decree also provides rules relative to marketing of seeds of plant varieties to which this Decree applies.
