Abstract

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry contains provisions on various kinds of fertilizer products, classifies fertilizer products in type groups in accordance with the Fertilizer Product Act and specifies the requirements for each type group in respect of quality, labelling, packaging, transportation, storage and use. An application for classification of a product must be made to the Food Safety Agency. The Decree also specifies standards for the presence of certain toxic components of fertilizers such as arsenic and cadmium and concerns use of GMO's in fertilizers.
