Abstract

This Decree: (a) classifies genetically modified micro organisms in groups in accordance with section 13 of Act 377/95 (Annex 1); (b) specifies isolation and protection measures for micro organism and premises where such organisms are handled in accordance with section 13 of the Act and section 19 of Order 821 of 1995 (Annex 2); (c) provides for the contents of notification pursuant to subsection 14(1) of the Act and section 20 of the Order and notification pursuant to subsection 14(2) of the Act and section 24 of the Order (Annex 5); and (d) specifies criteria and requirements for the assessment of risks which handling of genetically modified organisms may cause for public health and the environment (Annex 4).
