Abstract

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Commodities Act, and consisting of 22 articles, and implementing the European Council Directive 2001/110/EC relating to honey, provides for defining requirements for honey and honey products trade. The Decree concerns: characteristic and composition of honey and honey products; prohibition against the adding of additives and other substances to honey; specific definitions and types of honey; labelling of products and admitted content of sugars and water in certain types of honey products; geographical origins and quality of honey.
