This Decree enters into force 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Abstract

This Decree lays down conditions for the export, import, transit, breeding and rearing of rare wild flora and fauna. Wild flora and fauna species shall be those specified in the Appendices to the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and the specimens provided for by Vietnamese law. The CITES Management Authority of Viet Nam shall be set up by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Provisions on the issuance and management of permits
