Abstract This Decree, consisting of 7 articles and 6 Annexes, establishes potentially adequate areas for mariculture development in order to increase the fish products according to Regulation on Aquaculture. It establishes the Marine Water Reserve Area for the development of mariculture activity. Annexes specify the geographical coordinates of the above mentioned areas to be created in order to improve fish production, to guarantee responsible exploration of marine aquatic resources; to develop activities aiming at the aquatic animals reproduction, to guarantee the active participation of public and private entities as well as the local population in management and development of marine areas integrating the Marine Water Reserve areas.
