Abstract

The purpose of the Decree is to fight the disease Lepeophtheirus salmonis in salmon farmed in aquaculture or sea salmon. It applies to all installations farming the species Salmo salar and Oncorhynchus mykiss. Control of existence in installations with water of temperature of t least 4° Celsius shall be carried out least every 14 days. Allowable limits for louses are specified in article 5. Supervision is assigned to the State Veterinary Office, district veterinarians and in specific cases, county veterinarians.
