These Council and Commission Directives are included in the Annex to the Agreement establishing the European Economic Area. Section 5 defines various kinds of feedstuffs and compound feedstuffs. The Decree concerns the quality control of production and importation of animal feed, excluding feedstuffs made of fish and other aquatic organisms: registration of production and importation; ingredients; packing and labelling; analysis; various kinds of controls including testing for salmonella. An advisory body, the Council for Feedstuffs is established under section 29. This Council shall provide advice to the Department of Agriculture and other authorities.
