Abstract This Decree, composed of nine Chapters divided in 62 articles, implements Law No. 11.284 on public forests management for sustainable timber production. It regulates the national Cadastre for Public Forests and rules, at federal level, public forests uses allowed for indigenous communities. In particular, the Decree requires the formulation of an Annual Forestry Plan (PAOF) providing licensing requirements and concession procedures for forestry activities.
