Abstract

The scope of this Decree is to adjust the catch capacity of the purse seine fleet to available fish stock. It applies to purse seine vessels which have access to fishing pursuant to Decree No. 1 of 1979. The yearly quota, the basic quota and the single vessel quota for the catch of herring, mackerel, sprat, and capelins, shall be established in accordance with rules laid down in section 3. Section 5 specifies criteria for the allocation of single quotas. (9 sections)
