Abstract

This Decree approves the Environmental Regulation for Oil Operations. This Regulation, consisting of 4 Chapters, establishes the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform oil operation. The Regulation in particular specifies Environment Impact Assessment procedures, protection and control measures in order to prevent environmental disasters. It is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Procedures for EIA (Chap. II); Taxes and sanctions (Chap. III); Final provisions (Chap. V).
