The preventive measures hereby laid down are based upon the provisions contained in Directive 80/127/EEC, which has been repealed and replaced by Directive 2001/89/EC. The presence and suspected presence of classical swine fever shall be immediately notified to the State Veterinary Service (art. 2). The measures defined under article 4 shall be applied following such notification. Annex I describes the diagnostic methods for confirming the presence of classical swine fever.
