Abstract

This Regulation is divided into 6 Chapters and 61 articles: Fishing with trawl nets (I); Vessels and motor-powered boats (II); Fishing methods (III); Fishing activity and fishery products (IV); Controls and sanctions (V); and Final provisions (VI). This Regulation, adopted during the colonial period, remains in force. It distinguishes between two different types of fishing with trawl nets, (1) fishing in coastal waters; and (2) off-shore fishing. It also establishes mesh sizes and fishing zones.
