Abstract

This Decree applies to Norwegian or foreign fishing vessels of any type fishing in the fishery protection zone of Svalbard. These vessels shall have a satellite tracking system installed on board and report continuously data in accordance with sections 2 and 3. Sections 4 and 5 provide for the circumstance that the system fails. Alternative use of reporting shall be used and the vessel is under obligation to repair or substitute equipment within a month.
