Abstract This Decree approves the Regulation of the National Council for Sustainable Development (CONDES) created by Act No. 20/97 of 1 October 1997. This Regulation consists of 8 articles specifying composition, duties and competencies of this environmental institution, whose purposes are the control and development of a sustainable exploitation of the environmental sector.
