Abstract

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Bulgarian Environmental Protection Act, here proclaims the adoption of the Regulations of the Executive Agency for the Environment. These rules are aimed at regulating the activity, structure, work organization and composition of the Executive Agency for the Environment. The Agency is a legal entity and an administration under the Minister of Environment and Water for the implementation of the requirements of legislation and regulations related to the environment, including management of the National System for Environmental Monitoring, with headquarters in the city of Sofia. The agency is structured in a general and specialized administration, a network and information security officer and a financial controller. The executive director of the Agency is a secondary budget manager under the budget of the Ministry of Environment and Water.
