First entry into force on 4 May 2002. The last consolidated version of the Decree entered into force on 15 March 2014.
Abstract

This Decree contains measures to be taken immediately in case of suspect (arts. 2-7) and after official statement of the African horse sickness (arts. 8-11). There are also provisions regarding the epidemiologic investigation and the establishment of a protection zone (100 km circle around the place of contagion) and inspection zone (further 50 km circle around the protection zone). In case of contagion the Ministry establishes a commission for the coordination of operations. Operations against the breaking out of epidemic must be carried out on the basis of an emergency plan worked out by the Animal Health Authority. The National Animal Health Institute is entitled to laboratory analyses and his duties are determined in the Annex.
