Abstract

The basic scope is to protect the health of animals. Article 2 defines the geographical sphere of application of the Decree. The Decree contains rules relative to the authorization of establishment or enlargement of inland and marine aquaculture installations as defined in article 3. Article 4 sets out requirements for the registration of dams. Article 5 defines the criteria for the establishment or enlargement of an aquaculture installation. The criteria mainly concern the potential danger of spreading of infectious diseases and relative density or other characteristics of the installation. Control shall be carried out by the Food Control Office.
