Experiments on animals are allowed for the following reasons: medical purposes, environment protection, scientific research, education and training, forensic medicine analyses, breeding of special animals for experimentation. Experiments must be authorized, registered and controlled by the competent animal health and food control office. Detailed rules of authorization are set out in Articles 6-9.
