Abstract

The Decree prohibits fishing for demersal fishes by vessels flying the flag of Norway in fishery zones of Greenland (i.e. ICES Areas Va, XII and XIV and NAFO Sub-area 1) in 2009. However, quotas of greenland halibut, halibut, red fishes, cod and some other fish species may be caught in East and/or West Greenland. In addition to these quotas another amount of other fish may be caught as bycatch. Other provisions of this Decree concern the duty of reporting and a compulsory sailing date.
