Abstract

This Decree lays down some amendments to Decree No. 82 on infant formulae and follow-on formulae destined to the European Community market or intended for export to third countries, in order to put it in line with new provisions adopted at the European Union level. These amendments concern the content of proteins in infant formulae and follow-on manufactured from cows or goats. In particular these new provisions authorize the marketing of infant formulae manufactured from protein hydrolysates with such a protein content provided that the product complies with certain specific criteria.
