Abstract

This Decree prohibits the fishing and landing of redfish by Norwegian vessels in ICES statistical areas XII and XIV and in the NAFO areas outside of waters under national jurisdiction and in the fisheries zone of Greenland in 2011. The Decree, however, allows certain quotas of pelagic or deep-sea redfish to be caught in the fisheries zone of Greenland. The Decree prescribes the conditions and requirements for such fishing and grants powers to the Fisheries Agency to stop fishing efforts if the maximum allowable quota is reached.
