The Decree, however, grants power to the Fisheries Directorate to allow certain fishing and a total allowable catch of 20.000 tons of small sandeel may be caught in ICES statistical area IV. It also allows small sandeel as bycatch. The Fisheries Directorate may issue further rules for rational management of fishery provided for by this Decree. Offences shall be punished in accordance with sections 60, 61, 64 and 65 of the Marine Living Resources Act.
