Abstract

This Decree prohibits in principal fishing for sprat in parts of ICES Statistical Area IV and IIIa in the inner waters, the territorial sea and the EEZ of Norway in 2011. The Decree, however, allows a specified quota of sprat to be caught by vessels in possession of purse seine and North sea or pelagic trawl licences. Chapter II contains rules relative to this kind of fishing. Chapter III prescribes conditions for the participation in coastal fishing with seine for sprat. The Director of Fisheries may stop fishing or impose additional conditions on fishing.
