Abstract

This Decree prohibits Norwegian fishing vessels to fish for or land argentines in 2011. However, vessels having a permit to use trawls in fishing for argentines in accordance with Decree No. 1157 of 2006 may fish a total allowable catch of 12.000 tons (of which 300 tons for experimental fishing) and in a specified period up to a periodic quota of 2.340 tons (included in the total allowable catch). Single vessels may fish up to 500 tons. Those vessels that are not granted to fishing for argentines are allowed a bycatch of 20 percent in single catches and landed argentines.
