This Decree deals only with technical aspects of such activities in the interest of the well-being and health of the animals concerned. As a general rule, no reproduction methods shall cause unnecessary pain, wounds, stress or other harm when carried out (art. 4). Certain methods are either prohibited, allowed until a specified date or expressly allowed.
