Abstract

This Decree specifies criteria for participation in fishing for cod by vessels under 28 meters of length and which fish with conventional gear, i.e. other methods as seine and trawl. Section 2 outlines general conditions for participation of vessels in Group I. Criteria regard registration in the Marks Register, inclusion in the Fishermen Census, Part B by the owner of the vessel and the captain, and previous minimum participation (expressed in landed catch) by the applying vessel. Vessels must have participated in the same kind of fishery in group I in the year 2005. Section 8 prescribes conditions for participation in group II. The Decree places also restrictions on multiple participation by the same owner of vessels. (12 sections)
