Abstract

Article 6, here amended, specifies the authorities that have competence in control of movement of animals and products (as defined in the principal Decree) within the European Common market. For Finland these authorities are municipal veterinary officials, inspection veterinary officials, and county veterinary officials, and in relation with registration of exporters (for the Common market) other veterinarians that are appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Article 10 concerns the control of exportation to third countries, i.e. countries that do not belong to the European Union. Control of exportation (within and outside the Common Market) of animal feed made of animal waste shall be carried in accordance with section 5 of the Act relative to Animal Diseases by the authority that shall also control production.
