Import of fish and fish products shall be prohibited if the level of histamine in the fish or fish products is higher than maximum values allowed by Decree No. 667 of 1996 relative to quality of fish and fish products. The fish shall be tested in Brazil in accordance with methods established by the Decree No. 667 of 1996 relative to quality of fish and fish products. If the results of the test are not sent together with the tested goods, the test shall be carried out by the Norwegian veterinary control office.
