Abstract This Decree regulates the granting of licences for installations for the farming of salmon and trout for purposes of human consumption; section 2 outlines the procedures of application for a licence. Applications shall be submitted to the local Fisheries Council through the local Fisheries Chief. No licences shall be given to farming installation with a volume in excess of eight thousand cubic metres. Section 5 establishes the criteria for the granting of licences. No licences shall be given for proposed installations which are not conform sections 5 and 6, third comma, of the Fish Breeding Act of 1985.
