Abstract This Decree creates the National Commission for Sustainable Development Goals, within the scope of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, with the purpose of: I - contribute to the internalization of the 2030 Agenda; II - encourage the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in all spheres of government and with civil society; and III - monitor, disseminate and provide transparency to the actions carried out to achieve its goals and progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs of the 2030 Agenda, subscribed by the Federative Republic of Brazil. The National Commission is responsible for: I - propose strategies and activities that contribute to the implementation of the SDGs; II - monitor the achievement of the SDGs; III - prepare subsidies for discussions on sustainable development in national and international forums; IV - identify, systematize and disseminate good practices and initiatives that contribute to achieving the SDGs; V - promote coordination with state, district and municipal public entities for the dissemination and implementation of the SDGs at the state, district and municipal level; and VI - consolidate a report on government actions related to the SDGs.
