This Decree enters into force 90 days after its publication.
Abstract

This Decree approves the Regulation on Fertilizers. The Regulation, consisting of 8 Chapters and 5 Annexes, aims at guaranteeing the production and commercialization of quality fertilizers within the country, in order to protect human, animal and environmental health. It applies to registration, production, import, export, transport, use, supply, commercialization, distribution and management of fertilizers, by individuals or collective companies and regulates institutional competencies. Annexes list fertilizers’ taxes for registration and use, offences and penalties for illegal activities, Tables on maximum residue limits, etc.
