Abstract This Decree-Law, consisting of four Chapters, establishes the legal regime applicable to farmers' local markets. It specifies requirements for installation of farmers' local markets which can be initiated by a local authority, a number of municipalities, a set or an association of producers, local development associations or partnerships, etc. The installation of a farmers' local markets by private entities are subject to the presentation of a prior notice to the territorially competent municipal council.
