Abstract

This Decree-Law approves Council Directive No. EC/96/51 23 July 9as amended) establishing the requirements for additives to be used in animal feed. It consists of 9 chapters and 3 annexes regulating the approvation, placing on the market and use of additives to be used in animal feed, divided as follows: Definitions and purposes (chap. 1); Annexes (chap. 2); Additive use authorization (chaps. 3 and 4); General provision on use (chap. 5); Labelling and packaging requirements (chap. 6); Control and sanctions (chap. 7); Technical Commission entitled to approve additives (chap. 8); Final provisions.
