Abstract

Pursuant to the principles and guidelines laid down under Commission Recommendation 2003/556/EC, the present Decree-Law establishes the measures to be applied in order to ensure coexistence of genetically modified crops with conventional and organic farming. The aim is to preserve the characteristics of such different types of production. Special coexistence plans shall be adopted by the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces (art. 4). Administrative sanctions are laid down under article 6.
