Abstract

This Decree-Law, composed of 17 articles and three annexes, rules on the elimination of PCB according to EC Directive No. 96/59/CE of 1996. In particular, it defines rules for storage, transport, decontamination and elimination of devices and equipment containing PCB, with the aim of achieving total destruction of used PCB. The Decree-Law introduces a registry and a licensing system. Finally, it defines control and monitoring measures. The annexes provide the registry of PBC, marking standards for PCB equipment and labelling indicators.
