Abstract

This Decree-Law implements EC Council Directive No. 92/119 establishing general measures for combat certain animal diseases and in particular the swine bladder disease. It is composed of 8 articles dealing with the sanitary requirements to be satisfied for obtaining the slaughtering authorization, granted by the IPPAA (Institute for the Protection of Agricultural and Animal Food Production). This Decree-Law prescribes the measures to be applied on animals and slaughter-houses and sanctions to be paid in case of contravention by offenders.
