Abstract This Decree-Law establishes protection measures for cork oak and holm oak forests. This Decree-Law consists of 27 articles establishing the said forest tree protection, specifying the requirements to be met in order to perform agro-forestry, sylvo-pastoralism and to combat desertification. It defines authorized activities and regulates the cases in which tree logging and cork exploitation are authorized by the General Directorate of Forests.
