It regulates the installation, exploration, storage and management of waste dumps. The aim is to reduce any negative effect over the environment, especially at local level, such as surface water and groundwater pollution, soil and air, as well as for protecting human health. The Decree defines technical requirements and standards for dumps and provides a classification of allowed dump typologies. Particular attention is paid to licensing procedures.
