Abstract This Decree-Law amends the legal regime for forestry management planning and intervention. Amendments establish that the PROFs directly and immediately bind private individuals relatively to the following issues: a) the preparation of forest management plans; b) the norms of intervention in the forest spaces; c) the limits of area to be occupied by eucalyptus. Excluded from the provisions of the above mentioned provisions are those with a urban territorial incidence. The PROF currently in force will remain in force until the approval of the new PROF that will replace them.
