Abstract This Decree-Law is composed of 3 Chapters divided into 13 articles and three Annexes. It introduces in the legal order the Directive No. 105 of 2008 of the EU Commission on environmental quality standards in the field of water policy and it also implements the Water Act No. 58 of 2005. The Decree-Law regulates on pollution standards for air, water and the environment in general, with the aim of its prevention and future reduction. The Annexes provide thresholds and tables for pollution control.
